Welcome

Liverpool’s first Night of Honour 2010
Sunday 28th November 2010, 7pm, The Black-e Arts Centre, Great George Street.

The unsung heroes of Liverpool will be celebrated in style this November at the first Night of Honour event in Merseyside, building on the success of seven consecutive years of Night of Honour events in Sheffield.

Organised by Hope City Enterprise, the community charity of the Megacentre, the evening will bring together local dignitaries and celebrities to bring honour to those members of the community who have made an extra-special contribution to their city.

As well as a glitzy awards ceremony, around 300 guests will be treated to entertainment from some of Liverpool's most talented performers, including the winners of the Liverpool Schools Got Talent competition. This year's guest presenter is to be confirmed shortly and will appear alongside other VIPs to present awards and honour unsung heroes.

Awards will be presented in seven categories:

- Liverpool’s Best Secret Angel
- Liverpool’s Best Community Organisation of the Year 2010
- Liverpool’s Best Business Angel
- Young Person of the Year Award 2010
- Liverpool’s Braveheart Award
- Best King and/or Queen of Customer Care
-Liverpool’s Health & Wellbeing Unsung Hero

Night of Honour Director Roger Davies said:

“Liverpool is a great city because of the amazing people who live here. The Night of Honour aims to put the spot light on a few of the city’s truly exceptional unsung heroes and recognise the contribution they make in lifting other people up. The Night of Honour will be a brilliant celebration of individual stories of courage, determination and selflessness and everything that is great about Liverpool.”

Liverpool's Night of Honour is currently looking for generous sponsors who want to align themselves with this fantastic city-wide event.

The event runs from 7-9pm and entry is free. All are welcome.
